Information: I have been in the Prison Service for 7 years. I have worked on the landings and in the Job Shop Allocation/ Resettlement areas. The Committees that I serve on are Race Relations, Diversity, HIV and Communicable Diseases, Regime Monitoring and Health and Safety. Being an active member of the POA Committee completes my work at High Down. Prior to joining the prison Service, I served 14 years in the Navy Department of the MOD. I was part of a team that looked after £3000 Million of the Navy Budget. During the Falklands Conflict, I chartered and requisitioned ships to go down to the South Atlantic always being aware that whatever was spent I was accountable to the Parliamentary Accounts Committee for my actions. After the Conflict I joined a team that ran courses in Financial management for the three services in the MOD. After the children, I did a spot of Psychiatric Nursing. I loved the patients but when the Government decided to move out into the community I decided that this career was not f or me. I decided to read Law and was delighted to achieve LLB (Hons) London University.
