Peter joined the Prison Service at Haverigg in 1983 as a Civilian Instructional Officer (weaving).
He then trained as a prison officer in 1985/86 at Leyhill and returned to Haverigg. Pete was then promoted to Senior Officer in 1997.
Pete first got involved in Union Learning in 2003 where he helped to secure the venue for the Learning Centre.
Once set up he then started his first Learn Direct course in June 2003.
Subsequently, Pete was appointed as Centre Manager in January 2004 and took up post in February 2004. |
