I saw the U.L.R course advertised last August and I put my name forward straight away. When I was on the course in September, I found it very interesting. I then went back to my work place and spoke to people about what was on offer at our learning centre. Most people were very interested and wanted to attend courses that were available. I really enjoyed talking to people about what was available, up and coming courses and their learning needs, if any.
When I was asked if I would be interested in working in the learning centre, I was very pleased and took that opportunity in January. There is so much to learn but I like a challenge.
In the centre at the moment we have various courses running, which are Literacy, Basic I.T, I T Intermediate, Spanish and Guitar. Also we have up and coming courses available in March and April which are Deaf Awareness, B.S L, Digital photography and Counselling. |
