Sam is a single mum who wanted to help her children with their homework and didn’t know where to start. She had looked on the Learn Direct website and found a course called Helping Your Child, she rang us and arranged, with a little persuasion, to come in and complete her Initial Assessment.
Sam was so pleased to find someone actually cared about building on her skills to give her the chance to get the qualifications she needed, she is at present working through her Numeracy Courses, supported by the staff here and is really enjoying it.
She feels and looks far more confident and finds she can now help her children, having first hand knowledge of the learning experience. Once her children have started full time school she has said she will be able to get a reasonable job with the qualifications she will have.
