Teresa
Clifford Eastchurch Learning Centre Manager
I am so pleased to
inform you all that I have now taken up my post as the Eastchurch Learning
Centre Manager. I am very
keen to make a success of the learning centre and I really hope the centre
can offer you all something valuable.
The POA Learning
came into existence in 2003. The
main aims of the project are to provide access to life long learning
opportunities for all Criminal Justice staff, supported by an active network
of union learning reps.We
will help improve literacy, numeracy, communication and IT skills; ensuring
staff and their families have access to quality learning opportunities.
I will be
publishing a monthly newsletter in the last week of each month updating you
all with the Learning Centre’s past months activities and the classes and
courses on offer for each forthcoming month.I would like to stress that the centre is for all staff and your families.
Although
we don’t have a dedicated learning centre yet the Governors and the CEO are
very supportive and are working hard to find us accommodation.Meanwhile we have been offered various locations.
